Alternate Access Mappings

Been having a little bit of trouble with SSL/AAM/Internet Accessible SharePoint/Host Headers lately, here's some info that may help if you find yourself in a similar situation:

Quick script for uploading updating InfoPath Form

Once you've uploaded and activated an InfoPath form which requires admin privileges [has code behind, etc], it gets tedious uploading new versions (slow) and iisreset-ing every time you have an update you want to test.

So here's a basic little script to upload the updated form.
Just copy and paste into notepad and save as a .cmd, and every time you publish a form just run this script.

stsadm.exe -o UpgradeFormTemplate -filename "C:\MyForm.xsn"
iisreset

MOSS Administrator v0.1 beta

So you may or may not know that I've been working on a MOSS Administration/Monitoring/Auditing tool called 'MOSS Administrator' - yes I know the name is very exciting, but it'll remain until I think of something better.

Version 0.1 is nearly done, still have a few minor tweaks to complete before releasing.

The left navigation shows the farm, the servers, web apps, site collections, and sites.
Clicking on each will show details in the appropriate tab on the right. Here you can view the running services, enabled features, etc at a glance.

You can also view the site content directly in the built-in browser when you click on a site. In the following image I've clicked on the Shared Services Admin site:

I'm adding more features for the 1.0 release, which will encompass MOSS Administration capabilities such Web App management, site collections and site management, user management, timers, backups, etc. The 2.0 release will have all the reporting capabilities.
The image below shows some context menus for managing web apps.

Ok it's 1am, back to work.
Ciao for now.
